Selank is a synthetic analog of Tuftsin. Clinical studies have shown that it produces anxiolytic effects comparable to medications used to treat anxiety and insomnia. In preclinical studies, Selank enhanced learning and memory, prevented weight gain, and enhanced antioxidant activity in the liver. Animals given Selank also experienced improved blood flow and lower blood pressure. Their blood and total cholesterol levels dropped.
